Ciarra is a brand that was created in 2017 by a group of passionate individuals with over 20 years of experience in kitchen appliance manufacturing. The founders of Ciarra aim to provide high-quality, easy-to-use appliances that prioritize sustainability, durability, and customer satisfaction. The brand was started with a mission to make life easier and to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

 

The founders of Ciarra had seen both the good and bad in the kitchen appliances industry, and understood the stress that can arise from using troublesome appliances for cooking. Through their experience, they saw that customers were often left frustrated with appliances that did not meet their needs or were not durable enough to last. They also noticed that many appliances were difficult to understand and use, causing customers to become overwhelmed and lose the joy of cooking.

They also saw that energy consumption was a major concern for customers, and that there was a must need for energy-efficient and easy-to-use products to help reduce their carbon footprint and save them money. These issues sparked a desire to create a brand that would fill these gaps and provide customers with high-quality, easy-to-use appliances that prioritized sustainability, durability, and customer satisfaction. We saw this opportunity to make a difference, Ciarra was started with a mission to “make life easier”, and to make a positive impact on people’s lives.


The Ciarra logo and brand have undergone a remarkable metamorphosis. The new identity had to satisfy all of the existing expectations of what our original mark stands for, while simultaneously moving the brand forward.

 

 

As a design-driven company, we knew the significance of our brand’s visual identity in shaping our brand’s perception in the market. Our design team approached this challenge by carefully deconstructing the existing mark and studying its fundamental shapes, angles, and weight. This process informed our work and perspective as we set out to define a new logo and pictorial mark. Our goal was to maintain the iconic and recognizable mark of Ciarra. We aimed to craft a new identity that evokes the same emotional response: warmth, user-friendliness, and simplicity.

 

The result of our exploration is a wordmark that draws inspiration from the subtle details of the Ciarra product line, referencing the underlying form of existing Ciarra’s products. The wordmark is constructed from a contemporary geometric typeface with modified letter forms and customized letter-spacing. This re-branding reflects our commitment to design excellence and sets the stage for an exciting new chapter in Ciarra’s journey. As a company, we are excited about extending our product line and attracting more of a younger customer base. The re-branding aligns our visual identity with our company’s values, and we hope that it communicates our vision to the world.
